Chrome
Plating
Process
We start the Chromming process by machining and straightening out the damaged bumper. Here you can see one of our repairmen straightening out imperfections in the bumper.
Once the bumper is truly straightended, it comes here, to our polishing area. It gets a thorough polish and is sent to our first coat of our tripple plating process.
Here we see the Copper Tank. The first layer of metal put onto the bumper. They are tied to a rack and dropped into a tank large enough to handle the bumpers.
After the copper tank, they are taken out washed and then polished again for the next layer of metal. Here we see our poilisher getting into the bumper at hand.
This is the finished copper coated bumpers. These bumpers are ready for the Nickle tank.
Here we see a bumper being dipped into the Nickle tank. They will also be polished when done, for the chrome tank ahead.
The last step in the chroming process, the Chrome dip, this is the quickest step. They only stay in the chrome bath for a little bit, too long, it can burn a hole in the bumper or leave dark spots in the chrome!
Finally, they are ready to clean and wrap for the customer or that next swap meet show!
So, you have Classic Car bumpers with Tripple plated chrome Finish for your Classic or Custom Car. Look for us at that next big classic car show or Swap Meet, from Washington to San Digeo Ca. We also Ship Coast to Coast.
